Olympos National Park
Believed to be the home of the 12 Greek gods, Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece. Today, this mountain is in the Olympos National Park, a famous tourist spot where Beycik Villas are also found.
The area of Olympus was declared a National Park in 1938. The preservation of the fauna and flora as well as the national landscapes is the main goal in the park. The Olympos National Park is situated in between Macedonia and Thessaly.
There are many rules and regulations in the park. For instance, visitors can only stick to the hiking routes (there are over 20 routes). There are nine operational refuges in the park for travellers, hikers, and climbers. Visitors can rest and sleep at the refuges while enjoying the beautiful view of Olympos. For other modes of accommodation, visit Beycik Villa.
Aside from the beautiful god-given gifts, man-made architectural sites are also visited by tourists. There are picturesque stone houses, traditional villages, churches and monasteries. The culture of Olympos is as rich as its natural resources. Traditional food is served to visitors. Enjoy Greek and Mediterranean dishes - food and drinks worthy of the gods.
Olympos National Park also has activities to offer its visitors. Several companies offer exciting and fun entertainment, like paragliding. Olympus is a good place for a vacation and is a great option for active travellers.
